Established in 1937, now with well over 600 people engaging with hockey, Taunton Vale HC is one of the largest Hockey Clubs in the South West of England, and within the top 20 largest in the country. In 2015 the club was nominated for England Hockey Club of the Year and was first runner up in European Hockey Club of the Year 2016.
We are a family friendly club, which caters for all standards of hockey. Our youngest members play at Under 8 level, and we still have a few Over 60s who make regular appearances for in league and cup fixtures. A number of our players also play at county level and for the National age group teams for England and Wales.
Each weekend we have 5 Ladies teams and 5 Mens teams competing in the West of England Hockey League. We also enter a number of Cup Competitions, including the Somerset Cup and the England Hockey KO Competitions for Mixed, Men's O40s & O50s and Ladies O35s & O45s.

We have a thriving junior section, welcoming kids as young as 6 years old to come and pick up a hockey stick, and we offer training for Under 8s, 10s, 12s, 14s, and 16s.
Our Under 10, 12 and 14s take part in the 7-a-side Somerset Hockey Festivals. Additionally the U14s and 16s enter the England Hockey 11-a-side league and cand we enter our U18s into the England Hockey KO Competition.
We also have U16 and U18's Boys and Girls indoor teams, who compete in the West Indoor Hockey Competition.
Junior fixtures (competition/tournament/friendlies) take place on Sundays and are scheduled around the England Hockey central calendar.
